Two Penguins And A Typewriter?????
November 21st, 2007Well, when it comes to me and wanting stuff, I usually get what I want. The field pass to the state game was no exception. So, with me and my ever apparent need to get bigger and better stuff, a few weeks ago I whent on the saga to get a Canon 70-200mm 2.8 L series lens. Not only do some argue that this is the best lens canon makes it has the price to prove it, at about a little over a grand. With my predisposition to burn money this was a no brainier and I bought it. So now I wanted for a good sporting event to use it at. Then the football team made it so state. Now I needed a field pass, this was not a want, it was a need and I wouldn’t stop till I had one. So, who best to make get one for me, the ever elusive figure known as Chivetta. Not really, he is just some nerdy kid who the entire school owes favors to. So Chivetta and I proceed to bug the head of the Athletic Department and the football coaches for passes. I did not feel that this was going to work so I went on the MSHAA website and looked at how to apply for a press pass. Low and behold they had an online form just for getting press passes but there was a catch. A rather long scary sentence “Which I can’t seem to find right now since the web site is down” but any way it was scary and I figured there was a one is three chance of me getting sued or at least getting in trouble because we all know they wouldn’t have enough money to sue me. Well the next day I get a shocking email, I now have a press pass. I found Chivetta and off we went to tell the head of the Athletic Department so he didn’t have to worry about finding me a pass. As we walked in some one sitting in the office look up and said, “Two Penguins And A Typewriter?” the name of Chivetta’s blog and the news organization I put down in my press pass application. Though Chivetta and I were as red as apples it turned out that MSHAA called the school and verified who I was. All in all I got a press pass so who cares.
